When we set out to create CASCADA, we knew one of our biggest challenges would be integrating two of our pillars: bespoke sustainability and hedonistic wellness. Too often, what is sustainable is rarely as luxurious as the synthetic alternative.
After years of research and development, we landed somewhere truly unique — a hotel that has fully eliminated petroleum-based foams and animal skins. From the sofas to the mattresses, dozens of iterations led us to a product that is genuinely worthy of a luxurious hotel experience.
Natural materials, intentionally chosen
Our bedding is crafted from natural materials chosen for comfort, longevity, and a deep respect for the earth. Each fiber is selected for the way it feels against the skin, the way it breathes through the night, and the way it supports our commitment to thoughtful design. Dunlop latex provides a resilient, plant-based foundation, while Portuguese cork offers a rare balance of durability and beauty that develops character with time. Organic Turkish cotton brings long-stranded softness that grows smoother with every wash, and hemp adds structure along with naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial benefits. Kapok flower fibers create a light, airy fill that rivals the softness of silk and down, and our certified responsible down is sourced with care for both comfort and ethical standards. Together, these materials form a collection that is honest, grounding, and quietly luxurious — inviting guests into a sleep experience that feels natural in every sense.
RDS Certified Down
Fluffy down feathers trap air in their loose-webbed structure, providing breathable insulation. Certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), our down is ethically sourced for warm, responsible rest.
Dunlop Latex
Made from the sap of rubber trees, Dunlop latex is arguably the most sustainable, long-lasting foam available. Its various, layered densities are core to the comfort of the CASCADA mattress.
Organic Turkish Cotton
Chosen for its long-stranded fibers that get softer with every wash, high quality cotton has played an important role in luxury linens for centuries and can be found in our bedding.
Hemp Fiber
We selected hemp in parts of our furnishings for its amazing sustainability, hypoallergenic + antibacterial properties, and ability to provide structure to maximize comfort and longevity.
Kapok Flower
Our kapok is harvested from seeds of the flowering trees. It was selected for its hypoallergenic qualities, breathability, and ultimately as the best plant-based option to rival silk and goose down.
Portuguese Cork
Cork is harvested without harming the tree, regrowing again and again over the bark's lifetime. We use it for its rare balance of resilience and beauty — a quiet, sustainable material that softens with age.
The CASCADA Mattress
The CASCADA mattress is the result of a long search for comfort that honors both the body and the planet. Built entirely without petroleum-based foam, it layers natural materials in a way that feels deeply supportive and distinctly luxurious. Quilted wool creates a breathable, temperature-balancing surface, while medium- and high-density Dunlop latex provide gentle contouring without the sinking feel of synthetic foam. A hemp reinforcement layer adds structure, the pocket coil core brings buoyant support, and a wool and organic cotton protector keeps the sleep surface clean and naturally resilient. Each element works in harmony to create a bed that is grounded, restorative, and generous in its comfort — a reflection of our belief that true wellness comes from thoughtful materials, intentional design, and a commitment to sustainability that never asks you to compromise on the quality of your rest.
