Thermal Springs Guide

Your First Visit

What to expect the first time you visit the CASCADA Thermal Springs in Portland, from making a reservation to settling into the water.

The Sanctuary at the CASCADA Thermal Springs
  • 3-hour day pass session
  • Ages 21+
  • Reservations required
  • Towels and sandals provided

Before You Arrive

Reservations are required for all Thermal Springs visits, and the Springs are open to guests 21 and over. A day pass is a 3-hour session; overnight guests can add unlimited access instead. There is ample street parking and a paid lot next door, though we encourage guests to carpool, bike, walk, or use a ride-sharing service.

When You Arrive

Your session begins at the time of your booking and runs to its scheduled end, so we recommend arriving a few minutes early. Towels and sandals are provided, and lockers and changing rooms are available. Please shower before entering the pools, saunas, or steam rooms.

Three Spaces to Explore

The Conservatory is the social space, with daybeds, plants, a vitality pool, and red light therapy. The Secret Garden is outdoors, with a hot pool, sauna, rainfall, and a fire pit. The Sanctuary is underground and silent, with hot and ambient pools, sauna, steam, and a cold plunge.

Find Your Own Rhythm

Take your time, hydrate well, and listen to what your body needs. Water and tea are provided. The hydrothermal circuit explains the rhythm of heat, cold, steam, and rest.

Planning Notes

Before you book.

Does arriving late extend my session?

No. Your session begins at the booked time and ends at the booked end time regardless of arrival. We recommend arriving a few minutes early.

Can I talk in the Thermal Springs?

The Sanctuary is a silent space, with no talking. Guests may socialize in the Conservatory and other areas of the property.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes. Reservations are required for all spa treatments and Thermal Springs visits.
